Enlarged Prostate Study

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Males 45 and older
  • History of BPH for at least 1 year
  • Willing to stop BPH medications prior to treatment

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • Prostatitis or chronic or intermittent pain in penis, testes, anal, or pelvic area within 12 months
  • Clinical trial within 90 days
  • Taking certain medications, including immunosuppressants, chemotherapy, male hormonal replacement, etc.
  • Significant drug allergy
  • Urinary tract infection more than once in 12 months
  • Previous surgical treatment of the prostate
  • History of self-catheterization or urinary retention
  • Prostate or bladder cancer or pelvic irradiation
  • PSA greater than or equal to 10
  • Hemophilia
  • Diabetes
  • Neurological disease
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Stroke within 6 months
  • Substance abuse
