Enlarged Prostate Study
Patient Inclusion Criteria:
- Males 45 and older
- History of BPH for at least 1 year
- Willing to stop BPH medications prior to treatment
Patient Exclusion Criteria:
- Prostatitis or chronic or intermittent pain in penis, testes, anal, or pelvic area within 12 months
- Clinical trial within 90 days
- Taking certain medications, including immunosuppressants, chemotherapy, male hormonal replacement, etc.
- Significant drug allergy
- Urinary tract infection more than once in 12 months
- Previous surgical treatment of the prostate
- History of self-catheterization or urinary retention
- Prostate or bladder cancer or pelvic irradiation
- PSA greater than or equal to 10
- Hemophilia
- Diabetes
- Neurological disease
- Spinal cord injury
- Stroke within 6 months
- Substance abuse
